About Our Organization

Women Accelerators is a nonprofit organization passionate about promoting women’s advancement. We are focused on giving women the tools they need to succeed in working towards bridging the gender gap. The lack of gender equality and the under-representation of women at the senior level is evident in the boardroom from the corporate 500 to startups. Women Accelerators serve women in all stages of their careers, providing them with a solid foundation to succeed.

Our mission is to provide a centralized network and community where career-focused women can access resources tailored to their career goals. By offering networking opportunities, mentoring, and educational programs, we help women navigate work opportunities that will nurture female leaders. Our vision is to generate a community of like-minded, high-achieving women who help each other to succeed in the workplace.

Amidst celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of women and girls worldwide, let’s take a moment to unpack the profound message of the United Nations on Women’s Day 2024.

Improving Gender Diversity in the Boardroom

Gender diversity on boards helps organizations perform better. Yet, women hold less than 20% of board seats worldwide. Ambereen Mirza discusses the challenges and opportunities related to serving on a board, with practical tips for women to obtain and succeed in the boardroom. With extensive experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, Ambereen has advice for everyone on how to create a more inclusive organization through recruitment, education, advocacy, and collaboration.

The Laws of Growth for People and Communities

This session focuses on growth, transformation and accomplishment in the things that matter to people and organizations.

The goals of this session are; First, to provide useful steps for navigating issues with limiting potential. Second to ensure measurable growth regardless of inhibiting challenges (personal & professional). Third, to inspire the promotion of a tangible positive culture regardless of differences in a group or organization. Finally, we will explore “stretching” in the context of challenges as a mechanism for distinction and growth.
